The quickest way to hear about pet food recalls

January 26, 2017

Many pet owners are concerned about the safety of their pet's food but in today's busy world, how can we be aware of *every* danger that's out there?

Sign up for the Twitter feed of The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) at @AVMARecallwatch and you'll receive the very latest information in a quick format about pet food recalls.

That's the best way to find out about pet food recalls, whether voluntary or ordered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Along with human foods and medication, the FDA also monitors pet food and medication to meet required standards.

And because these alerts come from the AVMA, they will alert you to problems with any thing from dog food to rabbit pellets to cattle feed to (non)sterile needles. Clearly it's everything you could need in a fast and easy format.
